Yoga practices of meditation, breathing and poses have been demonstrated to improve healing of the body, mind and spirit during and post treatment for cancer.
Ample research demonstrates the effectiveness of exercise - including yoga - to reduce fatigue, improve sleep, maintain energy and a higher quality of life. Yoga also considers the energetic, emotional, intellectual and spiritual bodies. Studies have shown reductions in anxiety, depression, PTSD symptoms, stress and heart rate.
As part of Yoga Therapy training with Inner Peace Yoga Therapy School, I am participating in a mentorship this summer to practice what I have learned about Yoga for Cancer Survivors. I intend to work with 3 clients for four sessions each, at no cost. I am looking for people who are actively undergoing treatment for cancer or have just finished in the past year.
For more information and to join the mentorship, please email me at [email protected] or call/text me at 720-272-6743.
